All items are made to order. Please allow approx 10-12 days for most bags to ship after placing your order (smaller item usually ship in 1 wk). If you need expedited shipping, please contact me before placing your order.
***Regardless of Shipping Method selected at checkout, there is always a 1-2 week time frame in which I need to make your item.****
Once an item is shipped, it is considered to be delivered. The buyer may purchase additional insurance for their item if desired; please contact me and I will happily make a custom invoice. Otherwise, items lost in the mail after initial shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If you do not receive your item, please contact your local Post Office as soon as possible.
Custom orders usually take approx. 2-3 weeks depending on the item.
International Orders, please note below:
We cannot be responsible for lost international packages, as USPS first class international often only provides tracking until the parcel leaves the U.S.
We cannot mark international orders as "Gift" on the customs form or otherwise falsify customs information.
We have no responsibility or information regarding import duties, taxes, customs, etc. that might be charged by the home country of our international customers.
Customs are the responsibility of the purchaser, and are, unfortunately, very often a part of purchasing internationally.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY PACKAGE IS LOST?
If you have a package that was marked as delivered but you have not yet received it, please to take the following steps as soon as possible:
1. Check with your neighbors or front office (if applicable) to see if the package was left there.
2. Reach out to your local post office or FedEx facility. (they have much more info than I do).
3. Contact me at Kristen@bubohandmade.com and include your order number.
Please report your lost or stolen shipment within 7 days of the marked delivery date. If an order is lost after being shipped to a third party mail forwarding facility, we are unable to assume responsibility of the package once it is marked as delivered. Once an international shipment has been marked as delivered, we are no longer responsible for the particular package.
Since most items are made to order, customers have a 3 day period upon receiving their item during which if they are unhappy with their product in any way, they can return it for a full refund, minus shipping charges; buyer is responsible for return shipping. After this, all sales are final.
*All items must be in original and new condition when returned.
*Custom orders and monogrammed items are non-refundable.
Please contact me before returning an item so I know it's on the way.
Please obtain tracking information for any package sent back to as I am not responsible for any items that have been lost on it's way back to me. This is at your own discretion but highly recommended.
Custom items and wholesale order sales concerns are dealt with on a case by case basis. As a general rule, I do not allow returns on either, unless defective on my part. Please contact me with your concerns and we will try to come to a solution as quickly as possible.
From time to time I am able to take on custom projects at customers' requests.
For any size customization to existing bags (making it larger or smaller), it will start with a base $45 charge for pattern changes.
If you'd like a strap lengthened or shortened, feel free to contact me. Anything over 11" on a drop will be an additional $10.
Custom pieces are priced dependent upon labor time, materials, and design, and vary. WHILE I AM ALWAYS HAPPY TO DO CUSTOM ORDERS AND ALTERATIONS TO MY CREATIONS, I KINDLY ASK THAT YOU DO NOT SEND ME PHOTOS OR REQUESTS TO RE-MAKE ANOTHER DESIGNER'S / ETSY SHOP'S BAG OR ITEM. Thank you!
Leather is a natural and organic product.
Each leather item and hide is as unique as you are! Slight differences in color and texture are characteristics of the natural leathers used in Bubo Handmade items. Special treatment is suggested when caring for leather. It is recommended to treat your item with a leather protectant. When not in use, the item should be stored in clean bag in a dry cool place. If necessary, have item cleaned by a leather care professional. For oil-tanned leathers, slight scratches should be able to be 'bent' or rubbed away. Bend and work the scratched area and the leather will lighten and scratch should lessen. Leather color will even itself out over time. Chrome tanned leathers (brighter colors) can be cleaned with warm soapy water.
Always test on an inconspicuous place before applying to entire bag.
